Blessed Christmas!

“…. the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawn.” (Matthew 4:16)

May you feel the quiet beauty of that

holy, silent night,

When God sent the little Christ child to

be this dark world’s light.

May you know the peace He promised,

may you feel His presence near,

Not only just at Christmas, but

throughout a happy year.

Helen Steiner Rice

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

So the Word became human and made his home among us.
He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

(And books, of course!) 🙂

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas….

chrismas'14 (b1a)Here’s wishing a very merry Christmas, to one and all!

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

3 John 1:2 (NIV)

And I do believe that books are certainly a big help in keeping one’s soul well.

So, here’s to some good ol’ solid ‘soul food’, what do you say? 😉

The whole loot that was gotten from the ‘Wolf’, and not Santa….

We should read to give our souls a chance to luxuriate.

Couldn’t agree more.
Happy reading, everyone! God bless….

…… I have called you by name; you are mine.

Isaiah 43:1 (New Living Translation – The Bible)

1 But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
    I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
    you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
    you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
3 For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Isaiah 43:1-3 (New Living Translation – The Bible)

Hopefully, this is something we can all take to heart, especially for those of us who might be in need of a little pick-me-up, even as the year draws to a close and a whole new chapter is about to unfold.

We may not know what the future, with all its uncertainties, will hold for us, but perhaps what is more essential is knowing who holds our future.

Therefore, be of good cheer, dear friends! 😉

Silent Night……

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:10-11 (King James Version of The Bible)

A Blessed Christmas, to one and all…..
