Contrary to how it may look like, this is in fact, a happy picture. :p

I felt the overwhelming nature of the words on the page and the pages in all the volumes […] I could drown in so many words. This thought filled me not with the panic of my childhood, more a sense that one day I would sink below the surface of all that literature and disappear into it. The stuff that had nurtured me, the stuff that had kept me alive, would one day be a place in which I would submerge entirely.

Andrew Relph, ‘Not Drowning, Reading’.

Just a little sort-of post to show some signs of life over here.
I know this space has been deathly quiet for far too long….
But yeah, definitely not drowning (nor drowned!) but rather, reading. πŸ˜‰
(& listening to loads of audiobooks!!)

p/s: Did I forget to mention that I’m in love with Scribd? πŸ˜€

  1. I think it’s me who is drowning though. I am reading The Harmony Silk Factory, A Certain Smile, Giovanni’s Room, and Some Tame Gazelle, and as if that was not enough, I started reading Feminism Interrupted. It’s your Scribd’s fault! πŸ˜›

    1. Haha, Scribd is certainly a hard one to resist. :p Sounds like you are having fun ‘drowning’. 😁 Some Tame Gazelle was actually my intro to Pym, and it was a book I had won from Thomas’ blog (hogglestock) back then. πŸ™‚

      1. I liked it but I liked some others better. There’s still more than half of her oeuvre to go through πŸ˜€
How many have you read? Do you enjoy Pym?
I don’t know if I would call it fun – in a way, I am not happy that I am reading so many at the same time.. Makes me feel I don’t give them the attention they deserve. Not feel, I know that it’s so. But, at the moment, it seems that I have to accept it. πŸ˜›
