10 great meals in literature (a)

Any guesses from within the pages of which book might this meal be found?

You can check out your answers (as well as the rest of the nine great meals) here, if this sort of thing catches your fancy, as it did mine.  😉

    1. I am ashamed to admit that I have not read any of the books actually, although I do know something about them and so could still relate through reading the descriptions of the meals. I am especially interested in Melville’s chowder and Plath’s avocados!

  1. Oooh, that was fun. I wasn’t good at guessing many of them but totally got it once I knew the titles. I think On the Road is one of the better ones. I kept hoping there would be one for Babette’s Feast. But that would have required tons more work.

    1. I was thinking of Babette’s Feast too! It would require a great deal more investment, no doubt. Or maybe they could just show a bit of turtle shell in a bowl of soup and we would get the idea?
