librocubicularist - definition

In case you were (like me) wondering what a librocubicularist was…… well, now you know. 😉

Seriously though, I do wonder how many of you were as surprised as I was to know that such a word even existed. And now, I am left wondering if there are also words to describe ….. ie: a person who reads in the bathtub; or a person who reads in the toilet; or maybe even, a person who reads while standing in line for something?
Any idea, anyone?? 🙂

  1. Certainly not a word I’ve come across before. I used to be an avid librocubicularist but these days I find I fall asleep before I’ve got through even half a dozen pages. As to reading in the bath – my local library really prefers it when I don’t do that!

    1. Yes, I am finding it very hard to be much of a librocubicularist these days too. As for reading in the bath, I think your local library and I both share the same sentiments. 🙂

  2. I just hope that the person above doesn’t really read “in the toilet” but on it!!! 😉😩. Will let you know if I find out the answer.
