This is where I want to go back to, after a long and tiresome day at work. Besides my bedroom, this is now my next favourite bookish corner in the house. This quietly unassuming armchair is the latest addition to my endeavours to create more bookish nooks and crannies around the house. I just love looking at the clean white bookshelf with its glass doors clearly displaying the contents inside. We got the shelves about 2 months ago after finally getting around to having the old electronic organ, which was just there serving as a sort of mantlepiece (and collecting dust), removed from this nook. And what a difference it has made. With the addition of the armchair over the weekend, it just about completes the bliss and joy of having a corner of one’s own.

And this little corner truly does make me happy. 😉

    1. That chair is indeed very comfy, which is why I was so glad to have found it! I don’t come across chairs that has just the right level of support and comfort that often, and I tend to get backaches quite easily. So, finding this chair was really a blessing! I look forward to more reading by the natural light too. 🙂

  1. Definitely an alluring corner! I love the idea of bookish corners throughout the house. We have several, though I tend to go back to one or two out of habit.

    1. Thanks for dropping by “my corner”, Kathy!
I think that if one were to have a really comfy corner to return to always, then even having just one or two of such places would already be very much good enough. 🙂 I keep trying to remind myself that “a little, with contentment, is great gain.” If only I can apply it better to my book buying habits. :p
